It turns out that Theo was in the area because he had heard tale of a wonderfully crafted arcane focus - a wand carved intricately out of dragon bone - and he wanted to claim it for his own. The group decided to help him search for it, but first they make the trek back to Melenaar, and paid the innkeep to watch over his invalid body while they went back to search for the focus.
Arriving at the location that Theo suspected housed the wand, they found it guarded by ogres and beastmen.
The bard used a spell to disguise the party as beastmen, and they tried to parlay with some of the ogres, but it didn't go well. After an encounter with a mimic, and some gargoyles, the group found Theo's Focus, and some nice loot.
Geam went on then to explain that for each card drawn, a devil was released into the world. Nine, total:
Dreyrugr: The Blood Stained
Ekel: The Disgusting Toad
Lus: Lord of Lice
Tier: Lord of Flies
Meintier: He Who Kills Herds With Disease
Meinverr: He Who Kills Men With Disease
Hrith: That Which Dances in Violent Storms
Heuschrecke: Bringer of Locusts
Myrkr: Prince of Darkness
Geam then arranged to transport Glarnack's body and possessions back to his tribal home, and wished the group well. The next morning, the party set out to make the long trek back to Bloodvale and Gurri's Shrine-Barrow.
On the road between Fljotgurd and Meddijum a gigantic ancient dragon, green in color, started to circle overhead. Robin, the bard, popped a Leomund's Tiny Hut for the group to "hide" in. The beast landed on the road in front of them. "I can see you, you know, puny mortals. I merely wish to talk to you! Believe me, if I wanted you in my belly, you'd be there already!" it said with a thunderous laugh.
Theo, the newest (and weakest) member of the group stepped out of the hut and approached the dragon, who lauded his bravery. The wyrm introduced itself as Hræzla the Terrifying, and told the group that he had been observing them for some time and believes they would be capable of a task that needed attending. Hræzla told them that a younger (adult) green dragon named Grimmr had taken up a lair in his territory, and he wants this dragon slain. "As a reward for this deed, I'll not destroy that town up the road. What a gracious and generous benefactor I am!" The group of course agreed to dispatch the lesser beast for Hræzla.
On the way to Grimmr's lair, they were ambushed by goblins, orcs, and orogs, and after that they found Grimmr's lair protected by trolls.
