So how long until it's published? Well, I have some really exciting news about that. While we were finishing up our play through, I started working on another project, properly detailing my game world, Cairnvarthi. I knew I wanted to include an adventure in that book, to help properly introduce folks to the world, and I realized that Adventures in Rollingvale would be perfect for this. So the two products merged to become an almost 150-page book titled "Campaigning in Cairnvarthi," the first half detailing the magical realm of Cairnvarthi and the second half zooming in on the region of Tìrsaorsail known as Rollingvale with enough adventure material to get a party of four up to level five!
The book itself is now complete, as is part of the cover art. The talented Nick Altman is doing a phenomenal piece depicting the heroes who first braved Rollingvale (my Thursday night group that playtested this), which will be on the back cover of Campaigning in Cairnvarthi (and the front cover of Adventures in Rollingvale when I release the adventure by itself at a later date). You can see a preview of this a few blog posts back. The front cover is currently being worked on by a well known artist who has worked for Lesser Gnome, Luke Gygax, and Frog God Games to name a few. I will announce his name when the cover is ready. I couldn't be more excited, though!
I know I've said this many times, but truly we are on the cusp of release now, and believe me the wait will have been worth it!
Until then, happy adventuring!
